The mission statement also includes a purpose statement, but it answers the question why do we exist and the reason for the organization's existence (Berry, Tim, 2010). In addition, the mission statement also embodies the values or what is important for the existence of the company. Moreover, the mission statement is to define our company as it is and what we do while the vision statement is about the company's future and objectives (Berry, Tim, 2010). The mission statement and the vision statement both are utilized by the Mountain school district to provide direction for the school.
