Education issues in the United States consist of many areas. Mostly are societal issues such as children's opinions, literacy, school safety, charter schools, creation versus evolution, school violence, grade inflation, bilingual education, education reform, sports, school choice, school finance, behavior medication, standardized testing, clothing and uniforms (dress codes), home schooling, sex education, screening or the banning of reading materials, and corporal punishment.

I believe that one of the issues is education reform. Education reform is mainly about changing 'traditional' educational practices or policies, presumably for the better. This may include changing teaching methods, administration, textbooks, schedules, curriculum, and grouping and promotion practices, for example.
