In discussing the possible benefits of using music for talented and gifted students as an instructional tool, I have formulated the following three research questions. First, is teaching an effective instructional material in fast paced classes? Second, what specific types of music are most effective? Third, what is the most effective way to integrate music in to the instructional materials for classes teaching the talented and gifted students?
I have chosen this topic for two reasons. First, I have always been fascinated with the talented and the gifted. I am fascinated because these people are given extraordinary skills, abilities and intelligence that if fully harnesses, surely the world will be a better place.
