The potions of the article that were prominent to me were the onion diagram and the Volere stakeholder classification. These are required to understand the core of the article. The onion diagram shows different slots having stakeholder roles in four circles centered on the product. The aspect of the article I find beneficial is that the onion diagram shows many users or stakeholders interested in the product. I assume that the product is a system such as an ERP. Otherwise, it can be software for a large organization. The use of the Volere model for the onion diagram is useful. It draws my attention to the wider environment, the containing system, and our system, What is beneficial is that this article draws my attention to stakeholders I had never thought about. For example, the wider environment can include opponents of the system and public opinion. Also, the article drew my attention to the wide variety of developers of the system. I had not considered the requirement for engineers, business analysts, and testing specialists to be developers. Also, I had never considered the possibility of a large number of specialists to be a consultant.
