How would a SWOTT analysis help a company meet the needs of their customers? If you start with the assumption that the needs of the customers have already been identified, how would the SWOTT bring the internal considerations into focus to meet those needs? Is any one more important than the others?

SWOTT analysis is not just about identifying the needs of customers. Any good salesman should be able to identify such. SWOTT analysis is more about the overall health of the company. Strengths refer to the overall special strengths of the company versus its competitors. For example, the company may have several important patents and technical advantages to the competitors, but this really has not much to do whether the company is meeting he needs of its customers. Nonetheless they are strengths. A strength might be a very well-known brand or leading in market share. A strength may be a very good financial situation, great cash flow, low debt, etc..
