The economic factors that are pertinent to Intel are the economic growth that is satisfactory and the interest rates that are reducing in response to the Federal Reserve policy. However, there is an increasing demand for low cost computers and these would require microprocessors that are not only low priced but also use less power.

From the point of view of social factors, there is a growing population that is aging, moreover there is greater emphasis on safety, and each of these can lead to an increase in the demand for computers and related products. The need for home computers is growing and so is the demand for semiconductors, microprocessors, flash memory and mother board chipsets. As the importance of computers for communication increases, there is likely to be greater demand for Network interface cards and Bluetooth Chipsets made by Intel.

The current political stability and employment laws favor the policies of Intel. However, Intel should not violate the laws relating to monopolies and patents.
The technological development of doubling the number of transistors on a chipset has favored Intel. This rate of technological development in the long run should match the technological development in the operating systems and the needs of the consumers. For instance, the current need of the market is to produce low cost computers, the technological development of Intel should support the market demand and the needs of the consumer.

The financial condition of Intel is strongly affected by the sale of its products, The decrease in revenues take place because the microprocessor average prices are sagging in the market. On the other hand these declines are offset by an increase in the prices of mobile, chipset and server unit sales. In general, the market perceives Intel to be financially weak. This is reflected in the falling prices of the stock in the market. To buttress the price the company has increased dividend payments twice in six months.
