Strategic Management is applying strategic thinking to an organization in order to lead the company successfully. Leaders who specialize in strategic thinking are concerned with the organization's profitability through productivity.
In the hospitality industry, there are levels within the organization that need supervision so they run smoothly. Hospitality management includes every level of management within the hotel chain. This ranges from the General Manager, the Banquet Manager, and all the subsequent managers down the line. These management positions make up the total experience the guests enjoy. In the case of the hospitality industry, the General Manager is the one who should be the "Leader."
