Action Plan for Wal-Mart:
Wal-Mart's action plan is in line with its slogan of "Everyday Low Prices". The action plan for Wal-Mart continues to be the adoption of a low cost strategy, which has earned it the slot of the world's largest company in terms of revenues. Apart from the low prices it attempts to give its customers, Wal-Mart also attempts to make its super marts a one-stop shopping experience for its clients, offering everything ranging from foodstuffs, electronics, pharmaceuticals, households, and even a car check up section. It's action plan thus can be seen to lie in taking over every aspect of a consumer's life through offering everything possible under one umbrella.
The goal for Wal-Mart is to ultimately deliver everything at the lowest possible prices. However, it has also been debated that Wal-Mart's goal is the creation of perceptions that their prices are actually much lower than they really are.
In line with its mission and vision, Wal-Mart continues to open up stores at strategically located regions as it tries to help people save money and live better lifestyles through their offering of the best quality merchandise at the lowest possible prices. Wal-Mart also partners strategically with other firms in enhancing both its customer selection of both products and services.
Wal-Mart continues to stock what customers demand. Working closely with branded suppliers, Wal-Mart attempts not to direct shoppers, but instead let customers direct it in terms of future directions. The super mart continues to offer the largest variety of chain offerings possible, categorizing how it performs its pricing off a basket of goods which it price-matches on select items as promoted by its rivals.
