Traditional management styles were primarily focused on efficiency and productivity. Their main motive was to maximize the revenues and profitability with sole focus on the organization itself and not its external stakeholders such as consumers. Today, with the increasing competition and concern among companies towards customer satisfaction, there has been a paradigm shift in management style that focuses more on improvement in quality of the product or service for increased customer satisfaction. This is known as total quality management of quality focused management style.
