I have supplied each of the five and the added sixth one for the company I worked for. It is a private firm that runs facilities for incarcerated youth. In this case, the facility house young men with developmental disabilities, behavior and emotional disabilities, and substance abuse problems. It is not well run, owned now by an investment company with the intention of holding the company for seven years and then selling it again. Procedures from the Department of Juvenile Justice are interpreted and put into practice, more or less.

1.Legitimate - This comes from the belief that a person has the formal right to make demands, and to expect others to be compliant and obedient.
In the company I work for, this is one of the most used, along with coercive. Because someone has the title, they are the expert or boss and all their orders should be followed. This includes whether the order is good or doable. Too many times, this power is used as a weapon. Too often, when asked why something is being done, the reply is, "because I can." It is not a good way to use power and it has driven away many good people, ...
