The firm to which I am most closely aligned appears to be more interested in control than in promoting an innovative culture. The reasons are that is a vertical structure and every employee is required to do a specialized job. The supervision is very close and there are strict rules that every employee is supposed to follow. Suggestions are not encouraged and employees are not asked for their opinion on important issues.
