Quantitative research methods differ from qualitative and mixed methods research methodologies, largely due to the fact that quantitative research methods focus upon the utilization of numerical data in ascertaining answers to research questions. This is due to the fact that quantitative research methods make a connection between data that is observed and statistical analysis of the data, in order to bring about a clear understanding of what is being observed by the researcher(s), in a highly efficient and accurate method.
