I agree that business and IT leaders are more concerned with ensuring that productivity increases as costs associated with producing outputs decrease when productivity increases. Therefore, the margin that exists for the organization to make a profit in regard to how much it costs to produce any product and the profit that is made when its sold is reduced. Increased productivity leads to wider profit margins, which is important because this assists in more research and development for the organization, which can lead to more innovation and greater reductions in costs through more effective management processes. Higher tax revenues also reduce debts that reduce costs associated with the business expenses.

In addition, cost reductions strengthen the solvency of the organization by assisting the organization in choosing more effective suppliers, better training for employees, and the use of TQM to improve the organizational efficiency and flow to eliminate unnecessary wastes while increasing profits.
