I disagree, and have always thought that sayings such as this, including this one, are not accurate when dealing with multinational companies. As a good example, in many countries, bribery is perfectly legal, and accepted as a common business practice. In fact, bribes are used in some companies as an actual business expense. In this country, we have the FCPA and other regulations that forbid such practices, because in this country, they are both illegal and unethical. Many other countries have joined the FCPA and are also committed to stopping bribery and corruption-related activities, after being encouraged to do so, on the basis that they are unethical and provide an unfair advantage to companies that ...
