My company makes plastic strapping and the focus of the supervisors is to ensure that high quality strapping is produced on each line under her supervision. Higher level of supervision means that the supervisors can provide improved tools and better techniques. This is a good suggestion. In addition, the supervisors should reward the workers that have done a good job and enable them to take pride in their work. Even though this is not the current focus of supervisors in my organization, these suggestions are valuable and should be incorporated.
