Introduction

Toyota Corporation was established in the year 1993 in 'sun-origin country' I.e. Japan. It is popularly known for its largest Japanese automakers. The company deals in the various products such as cars, hybrid vehicles, SUV, motor vans, etc. In the automobile industry, Toyota motor is among one of the top most multinational company around the world.

The company is accredited for producing fuel efficient automobile with unique designs. In this consideration of generating new and innovative designs, it is awarded as one of the most developed global company in the automobile sector. While excelling in this field the company, give a competitive edge to lot of its rival companies like Ford Motor, Honda Motors Co. Ltd and General Motors Corporation (Toyota, 2008).

Roles and Responsibilities

Healthy organization culture is basically a set of characteristics that are followed by everyone in the organization. It is considered as vital ingredient for an organization. The characteristics may be in the form of assumptions, beliefs values, norms & culture, etc. If all these characteristics are acquired and followed by the Toyota employees, it will cultivate a feeling of inner self-respect and will also generate the feeling of cooperation.

Consequently, the motivational patterns will be boosted up so that the employees put their outmost energies for the effective work at the work place. In order to create and maintain an effective organizational culture, the manager must learn to lead, uncover the root cause of the problem and then applies the scientific methods at the most practical level (Toyota's Ever-Rising Sun).

The leaders also have to perform the various major roles and responsibilities. For instance: the development of voluntary cooperation, equality at the work place, setting ethical standards to direct and discipline the employees, properly communicating the set of characteristic in order to make them aware and listen regarding the views about the culture and following the unique culture to direct and motivate the employees.

For creating and maintaining a healthy organizational culture in the Toyota Corporation, the organizational manager and the leader need to play different roles such as that of interpersonal role, informational role, decision role etc. Further, these all roles are described below:
