Toyota has long been a strong competitor within the automotive industry and many of the marketing and manufacturing strategies that other automotive companies use mirror that of Toyota. Since its inception in 1937 by founder Kiichiro Toyoda, they've been the foundation of many ideologies such as Six Sigma that is used among many industries today.
