(a) It is imperative that organizations identify correctly those people who will effectively become advocates or supporters throughout the implementation of servant leadership principles. These advocates will naturally be more open minded during the beginning communication phase, and can help to answer questions and spread a more positive outline of the proposed changes throughout the organization before implementation. In addition, post implementation, these same employees can help to keep morale high and be certain that the initiatives maintain momentum. These stakeholders would include some front line employees and low level managers. Especially important will be front line employees who serve an informal leadership position-a role whereby the other employees have a tendency to follow their lead whether they have a specific title or not. Other employees trust these people and tend to listen to their advice.
