I will use a hypothetical example of an internship for Graduate studies in counseling, which is one year in length.

The job was to set up my clientele through phoning people who had applied for mental health counseling and were on a waiting list. I phoned them and set up a first appointment and developed a case load of 10 clients. I counseled the clients on one-to-one counseling on various mental health issues usually once a week and my supervisor provided feedback on my sessions, which were taped, if the clients agreed to tape the sessions. I also co-facilitate two groups, one women's group for depression and another women's group for women who had been molested in childhood.
