Leadership in simple terms can be defined as the process of influencing the behavior of other peoples who are influenced to work willingly for attaining the predefined objectives. In simple terms, it is the interpersonal influence directed through communication, towards attaining specific goals. The leader motivates the followers to attain specific goals by influencing them with his personality and traits. There are several leadership styles. Different leaders have different styles, there may be one or more than one style adopted by the leaders. The major leadership styles followed by the leaders are autocratic leadership style, participative leadership style and laissez fair style (Siebens, 2007).
