How should we determine what training techniques to use when training?
We cater our training techniques and delivery methods to take into account various factors: location of person(s) being trained, significance or importance of material being delivered, time-sensitive nature of the information and even budget constraints.
I work for a law firm, so our training sessions are very different when you compare sessions that involve strictly attorneys, as opposed to those which include administrative staff, secretaries, etc. Attorneys live by the 'billable hour' and their time is especially precious and valuable to them. We typically provide streamlined, trimmed-down training sessions to our attorneys - even encouraging the use of our online resources (discussed in detail below).
