Essentially, what I am seeking for PPQ is an integrated computer based system that can be used to manage materials requirements planning, capacity requirement planning, and enterprise resource planning. The software package should facilitate the flow of information between functions in an organization and also manage the connections with outside partners. The software should be built on a centralized database and use a common computing platform. It is expected that the recommended software will consolidate all the business operations into a uniform and a PPQ wide system environment.
The first software package considered is Microsoft Dynamics SL. It is a part of the Microsoft Dynamics product line. The pricing of Microsoft Dynamics SL is $30,000. It is compatible with Office Project Server, and is a member of the Microsoft Office family. It provides the ease of workflow and is moderately user friendly. The functionality of Microsoft Dynamics SL includes accounting, analytics and reporting, customization, distribution, e-commerce, field service management, financial management, and business portal. One of the main advantages is that Microsoft Dynamics SL is written in Virtual Basic and is highly customizable.
