There are several issues, concerns, and incidents that lead to poor technology management. One of the reasons for poor acceptance of technology is because of threat of losing power by the managers. They feel that they lose power and this increases their resistance technology. Further, the increase in the use of technology makes several groups in the organization less powerful and this causes resistance to change.
In addition, among the 25 persons there are apprehensions that with a change in technology there will be an increase in workload. The employees will have to accept more responsibilities. Further, there is skepticism about the efficiency and usefulness of new technology. In several cases when new software is introduced most of the 25 employees feel that their efficiency will not increase. Moreover, poor technology management is a result of peer pressure to avoid technology.
