What is a reference check?
A reference check is a valuable tool for gathering information on the applicants of a job and it is a very essential process so that hiring authorities will be able to confirm the information and details on the application materials, check for any prior discipline problems, learn new information about the candidate and ask questions that may predict a candidate's performance.
To be able to conduct an effective interview and reference check, one must be able to practice it as the more it is being done, the better one will become an effective interviewer and reference checker. Reference checking also takes pre-planning, careful thought and skillful execution.
