The interview technique I will use focuses on the candidate's ability to address questions relevant to the task they will perform. However, my strategy will include injecting some real-time problem-based questions in the form of scenarios to measure and assess the candidate's method of approach to the problems shared. It is understandable that poise and posture will be important during the interview, yet equally understandable is the notion that the candidate may or may not give 100% on target answers in terms of key words I may be seeking. I find this to be acceptable because ideally, my interview strategy is a theory in practice using the scenario as a form of simulation where the questions are open-ended allowing room for "Free-thinking" rather than direct responses to suit my immediate needs. I personally believe this approach allows the candidate to maintain a sense of confidence in sharing what they believe rather than giving me what they believe I want to hear.
