Some of the most prominent cultural differences between Brazil and the U.S. are as follows. One, they speak portugese; whereas, we speak English. The language barrier can make it difficult to communicate, especially if one does not know the others language well enough to speak it; consequently, the U.S. would need a translator when overseas in order to have a decent conversation with anyone from this particular country. Two, half of Brazil is agricultural; on the other hand, the U.S. is mainly urbanized. Brazil has much forest to cover; whereas, we have the Apalachian Mountains, Great Plains and Rocky Mountains.
