As a leader, I was given an opportunity to take over a Customer Care department that was in disarray. I was hired as an outside candidate by the corporate Director and Senior Director. My boss was the Facility Manager, who worked his way up through the ranks at the facility. The facility was purchased by the corporate office approximately 3 years prior to me joining the company. The facility manager was replaced after two weeks of my start date with another outside hire, but at the Director level.
