For a large global business, training is always a challenge. The diversity and number of employees and customers that span across different regions and time zones presents one of the current challenges for the manufacturer. In many cases currently, training requires bringing together large groups from various locations into one central area to try and learn all the details associated with the subject in just a few sessions. This leaves the employees or customers 'on their own' upon leaving the training and going back to their primary locations to try to decipher how to best apply the training they learned.
The future of training programs will continue to redesign training programs to incorporate the quickly expanding technology that is available to bridge the locations of employees together. The use of technology to replace traditional class room training will require that company spending a lot of time and investing strongly in capital equipment required to transition their organization to a technologically advanced training environment. The use of the internet and accessibility to remote employees and locations will take the place of the centralized location training.
