In any project, the project schedule will be compromised because of unforeseen circumstances, which is why most project scheduling is not done well as most organizations fail to appropriate for this business reality. The reason project scheduling is not properly conducted is because many businesses fail to account for the various project components that are often managed by different departments, which leads to a lack of communication, a lack of clarity on who is responsible for particular roles within the project, and an inability to adapt to the inevitable changes to the schedule that will occur with every project. Communication is essential to project success, but many projects lack this essential requirement, and this assists in the inability to stay on schedule or adapt to changes in the schedule of a project.
