There were experiments done in 1987 by Rick Cohen. The experiment was a success. The five senior employees picked by Cohen were very receptive to the experiment and each enjoyed working as a team. The team productivity showed that it took less time to complete the orders. The quality of the orders had increased. Compensation would have to change for paying a team versus the individual.
