Studying previous jobs and all of the factors that were involved with those jobs/projects is one of the greatest sources. This allows the PM to analyze each aspect of past projects, and the PM can also then analyze any changes that could have been made or should be done differently on future jobs. By staying current with industry trends, PMs can determine if different techniques could be applied to their projects which will be of benefit and potentially save time, money, and resources.
