    The main benefit is that performance assessment systems can be used as a tool to measure the overall effectiveness of individual departments, individual employees, and the entity as a whole. A properly constructed and well-implemented performance system allows executives to see where the weaknesses lie within the organization. Those areas can then be focused on, for improved strategies to bring the weak areas up to where they should be, or are capable of being, in terms of functioning.
