For my topic of examples of photography in the modern age,
I need to be looking for art to use in the slides. A simple google
image search with lots of links should be fine as long as they are detailed.
Look between 1880 and 1950 specifically. There are a lot of dates for the
"Modern Era" that range from the 1900's beginning to a start back in the 1500's,
First of all, you might look at how the gifted artist, Alfred Stieglitz, created some very edgy and interesting photographs. One piece, "Dorothy True," is found at http://www.metmuseum.org/works_of_art/collection_database/photographs/dorothy_true_alfred_stieglitz/objectview.aspx?page=2&sort=0&sortdir=asc&keyword=&fp=1&dd1=19&dd2=0&vw=1&collID=19&OID=190019265&vT=1
He also produced various ones of "Georgia O'Keeffe: one is found at http://www.metmuseum.org/works_of_art/collection_database/photographs/georgia_o_keeffe_alfred_stieglitz/objectview.aspx?page=2&sort=0&sortdir=asc&keyword=&fp=1&dd1=19&dd2=0&vw=1&collID=19&OID=190019266&vT=1
Besides his photographs of people, you might also include some of his outstanding ones of nature such as "Dancing Trees" at http://www.metmuseum.org/works_of_art/collection_database/photographs/dancing_trees_alfred_stieglitz/objectview.aspx?page=2&sort=0&sortdir=asc&keyword=&fp=1&dd1=19&dd2=0&vw=1&collID=19&OID=190019272&vT=1 or "Music No.1: House in Woods with Storm Clouds" at http://www.metmuseum.org/works_of_art/collection_database/photographs/music_no1_alfred_stieglitz/objectview.aspx?page=2&sort=0&sortdir=asc&keyword=&fp=1&dd1=19&dd2=0&vw=1&collID=19&OID=190019271&vT=1
If you need to overview him, you can credit that he is recognized as a pioneer in the advancement of "Pictorial photography in America and abroad, Alfred Stieglitz (1864-1946), photographer, publisher, gallerist, and ...
