Hi. I understand how it can be difficult to relate theory to methods in anthropological research. Don't worry, it is really not that difficult to grasp once you get to understand the basics. Both theory and method are tools for research. Theory is the paradigm of knowledge used and method is the structure followed. Think of song-writing; If a songwriter writes a song, the theory part is the theme/genre (i.e. love songs, hip-hop, RnB) that is supposed to be the purpose and 'personality' of the song. The method part is the structure or manner of song-writing - the techniques used by the songwriter to come up with the beats and the lyrics and the assemblage of notes to create the song. The solution below should get you started further.
