Consider the following scenario: Your manager recently sent a memo outlining a new company surveillance policy. As a result of this policy, each computer on your company network will be monitored with a special type of software that will alert your manager when you are using your computer for leisure rather than work purposes. For example, your manager has told you that visiting social networking sites will now be forbidden, and that she will be alerted by the software whenever anyone uses this type of site. You are aware that you and your peers commonly use these types of social networking sites at work, and thus you are displeased by this memo.
