Healthcare is essentially the management of the health of individuals and communities in general, paying special attention to the prevention of diseases and diagnosis and treatment of any illness, injury or impairment, including mental health, In the Healthcare industry - all individuals and organizations involved in the delivery of such a service are considered healthcare professionals from nurses, doctors, pharmacists, psychologists, midwives and other specialist/allied health support staff. A main concern of a nation is to ensure that its people/citizens have access to healthcare. After all, an unhealthy populace poses a threat to the development, survival and continuation of that nation. As such, healthcare and public health is a national issue where the policies of the government towards healthcare are designed so as to manage health issues for the populace, to meet needs, to treat and prevent diseases and to keep the population healthy. But healthcare costs money and while the government provides social support through such agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services, the services are limited to specific groups of the populace - from veterans to those who qualify dependent on income (the lower-income families get help with their Medicare/Medicaid bills).
