As you briefly examine if anyone switched theoretical orientations from CBT to a blend or integrative approach with psychodynamic as the foundation, I personally prefer an integrative or eclectic blend. I found that CBT, though advantageous in many facets, was a bit limited in time as well as in its here and now emphasis. Due to its educational and didactic slant, it did not appeal to all clients.
