It can be used to specifically obtain information for diagnostic purposes as a way of identifying emotional problems and assessing personality structure. The Rorschach scoring methods can be used to obtain information from young children and adults about symptoms relating to anxiety disorders, depression, schizophrenia (Lerner, 1991).
