Hi,
I hope this solution gets to you in time. What you are being asked to here is simple enough - you are being asked to provide an opinion which means that you need to present your ideas about the evaluation system. How will you evaluate? This depends on the questions that you need to answer. Above the questions have already been outlined. So what should we do? All we need to do is answer them and present our opinion. Our outline thus:

1. Introduction - what is DSM-IV-TR? Why is it important in the field of psychiatry? What is this paper about? About 200 words.
2. The functions of the system - a specific look at how the system functions and an example of its application - About 400 words.
3. Opinion on how it captures client context - About 300 words.
4. Opinion on personal strengths and environmental resources - About 300 wordss.
5. Opinion on Global Assessment of Functioning Scale and its use - About 300 words.
6. Conclusive opinion about the system based on the above - About 200 words.
7. References.

Now, we have a structure we can follow, one that answers all questions and puts in the necessary details. If you have any questions about the narrative below that follows this outlin, just let me know. Good luck with your studies.

Sincerely,

The need to correctly diagnose mental disorders was important as only by doing so can the right treatment be advised. over the years, the standards that it has set has influenced practitioners not only in the US but all over the world, becoming a key element considered by clinicians, drug agencies, policymakers, researchers and practitioners when making decisions. For practitioners and clinicians most especially, the DSM-IV-TR is their 'bible' as it envelopes the entire spectrum of their practice. This paper will present an opinion on the effectiveness and applicability of the current DSM, especially its contextual relevance.

The Functions of DSM-IV-TR
