Step 1. Draw an acute scalene triangle. Label the vertices A, B,C on the interior of each angle.

Step 2. Construct a segment congruent to line segment AC. Label the endpoints D and E.

Step3. Adjust the compass setting to the length of line segment AB. Place the compass at point D and draw a large arc above line segment DE.

Step 4. Adjust the compass setting to the length of line segment CB. Place the compass at point E, and draw an arc to intersect the one drawn from point D. Label the intersection F. Draw line segment DF and line segment EF.

I hope this is not too confusing, I am new at this Geometry and I am not young. This goes out to anyone, but one small request a scanned copy is not very clear. please make the drawing large enough and clear . You can use the computer if you'd like.
