Decide whether the relation is a function.
1- (6,5), (4,3), (-2,3), (0,-1) , (-1,2), (-4,-5), (-3,4)
2- (4,4), (3,3), (-1,1), (6,6), (1,-2)
make an input-output table for the function rule. Use a domain of -10,-5,0,5, and 10. Identify the range.
y=8x+1

y=-6x

y=x square 2+5

write a function that relates and x and y. use the equaton y=mx+b where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept.
input x 1 2 3 4
input y 8 13 18 23

inputx 1 3 5 7
output y -5 -11 -17 -23

copy and complete the table for each equation
input x -7 0 7 14
output y ? ? ? ?
y= x+11 y=-15-2x

tell whether the ordered pair is a solution of the equation.
y=5x-3 (4,16) y= 9-x(-2,11)
find three ordered pairs that are solutions of the given equations. then graph the lines.
y=2x+3 y= -3-4x

  • "Your solution, looks excellent. I recognize things from previous chapters. I have seen the standard deviation formula you used to get 5.154. I do understand the Central Limit Theorem needs the sample size (n) to be greater than 30, we have 100. I do understand the sample mean(s) of the population will follow a normal distribution, and that CLT states the sample mean of population is the population (mean), we have 143.74. But when and WHY do we use the standard deviation formula where you got 5.154. WHEN & Why use standard deviation of the sample mean. I don't understand, why don't we simply use the "100" I understand that standard deviation is the square root of variance. I do understand that the variance is the square of the differences of each sample data value minus the mean. But somehow, why not use 100, why use standard deviation of sample mean? Please help explain."
