Multiply the x by each of the 3 terms in the second set of parens:
x^3 - 2x^2 + 4x

Multiply the 2 by the terms in the second parens:
2x^2 - 4x + 8

Now add both sets, combining like terms:

2.) (w+5)(W+12)
Use FOIL (front, outside, inside, last):
w^2 + 12w + 5w + 60
