    Present History of Women as Army nurses is a good thing. The Army or any other of the services is a good way for females and males to gain experience in their field whether it be general nursing or looking at a specialty. Military nurses get to do more at least from the standpoint in a combat zone. Some nurses even when discharged from the service go on to medical school and become doctors or they enter other fields in nursing like Education and Administration. The affect it had on one region or the other would depend on if the nurses came from a rural, suburban or urban area.
