1. How have the War on Drugs and the War on Terror undermined personal rights?
The main argument here is that it takes away a person's right to choose to use drugs, if they decide to. Some argue that it is based on a false belief that everyone who uses 'illegal' drugs is abusing them. Similarly for the war on terror, as it takes the individual terrorists right to decide how to act and what to believe. There is another side to this as well, as it also undermines individual rights of American's in the surveillance of the terrorists, though monitoring of Internet, checking bags at the air port, and so on.
This solution discusses how the War on Drugs and the War on Terror has undermined personal rights, as well as if the movement toward globalization is seen (or not) as a threat to American sovereignty.
Industry and Globalization
Please assist me with the following two discussion questions:
1. Research an industry (other than the Flat Screen TV industry) that has experienced globalization or may be a good candidate for globalization in the future and explain why you selected the industry.
2. Choose two countries (other than the U.S.) within the same region of the world. Assess the political risks, economic risks, and legal risks of each country. If you had to invest a large sum of money into one of these two countries, which one would it be? Why?
