When dealing with the Baroque and Enlightenment periods it is very easy to get caught up in all the details. It appears that the question is asking for a broad overview.

<br>Make marker posts for yourself, consider the MOST IMPORTANT aspects of each section and then base your other facts around them.

<br>The question does not state which geographical area this time line relates to. This is less important with Enlightenment art but Baroque art is centered in Europe, this will be where I base the solution, although world events increasingly become important.
<br>
<br>If possible a book which will help immensely is "The Story of Art" by E.H. Gombrich who makes several time lines which may be of use. There is also: "History of Italian Renaissance Art" by Frederick Hartt; he examines the art as the central issues but provides a plethora of additional historical information.

<br>While it may be helpful to consider each section individually it is essential to note that during this period things were not as clear-cut as they are today. A great religious leader may also be a political and cultural figure as WELL as being a highly respected artistic patron who oversees the work of artists and scientists alike. However, there is far more definition in these times than there was in the Renaissance era, art and politics appears to be separated but often art is being used for political ends.
