The study was placated upon the hypothesis that the use of a placebo-control design would provide less biased estimates of Motor Control Exercise treatment effects for sufferers of chronic low back pain. The hypothesis is that the use of the randomized placebo controlled trial is the most effective design for controlling multiple sources of bias, which will lead to estimates of effect from the study conducted by the researchers being accurate.
