I believe that the definition of health as identified in 1948 by the World Health Organization is still applicable today, largely due to the fact that this definition utilizes the concept that health is composed of more than one component. Each of these components is just as important today as they were in 1948 in helping to ascertain the health or well-being of an individual, which includes their physical, mental, and social well-being as described in this 1948 definition.
