Effective communication is incredibly powerful, whether it is oral or written. Contrarily, even with a few subtle grammar errors the delivery can have a psychological effect on the listener. "I should have went," is a good example. Also, if a person talks 'too fast,' it might intimidate some but inspire others. Some literature has suggested that talking fast is a sign of intelligence. However, talking too slow and lacking a rich vocabulary could discourage a smooth discourse between others, as well.
