I have been teaching a lesson on clothing and the weather. We have learned some vocabulary both for clothing and types of weather. I ask students to write down five sentences that follow this format. "When it is (type of weather inserted here) I wear a (type of clothing here.)" For example

Students turn in their sentences and I look them over making sure the students have understood how to use these vocabulary words properly in a sentence.
