    Chapter or End of Unit Tests: These are done to evaluate student understanding of a unit or a chapter in a textbook.

    Advantages: Since chapter tests and unit tests are often found at the end of a chapter or unit of a teacher's edition of a textbook they can be effective measures of student progress because the test questions usually pertain to main ideas of the chapter or unit. Teachers can get a general idea of student's understanding of what they learned in a chapter or unit.
